I went to Lion's Head South Africa two years ago in the early stages of that year. It was a great experience with my family. When I went it was quite busy - especially at the summit of the peak. It is worth considering doing this hike later in the year - autumn to winter to avoid business. However to experience the best from Lion's Head it is recommended to go during spring/summer.

People should hike
for its unparalleled, iconic photo opportunities of Cape Town at sunset. The invigorating climb is moderately challenging and accessible, offering a quick escape and an active way to see breathtaking, comprehensive views of the city, Table Mountain, and the vast Atlantic Ocean.
At certain points during the hike, there will be challenging parts. As seen in the closest image, there are areas where scrambling is required. Take caution during this hike, especially with younger people.
